The water required by water knife equipment is generally ordinary tap water, but the importance of good water quality can not only help to improve the reliability and service life of pump seal and valve, but also has a decisive significance in prolonging the service life of nozzle and producing efficient jet.

The working pressure of the equipment is very high, the nozzle is very small, and some small particle impurities, scaling and corrosion ions in the raw water will have a certain impact on the service life and processing accuracy of the equipment. Therefore, the raw water must be treated before it can be supplied to the equipment.

In order to ensure the normal operation of the pump, valve, seal and nozzle, a filter screen or filter is set at the inlet of the pump. When the cleanliness of the water source used for the cleaning device is low, multistage filtration should be considered to reduce the cleaning times of the filter screen or filter. Under the condition of high filtration accuracy, due to the large resistance loss of the filter, there should be enough pressure at the inlet of the filtration system. If necessary, a pre centrifugal pump can be set (especially for the pump with higher pressure) to ensure that the suction system will not cavitate and maintain the continuity of suction.

The actual water quality treatment requirements are related to the following three points:

1. Water quality of water source used

2. Service life of nozzles used

3. Continuous operation of cutting machine

There are great differences in water quality in different regions of China. For example, in most parts of the north, the content of GA + and Mg + in water is relatively high, thus forming the so-called "hard water". This kind of water quality actually has a certain impact on the loss of the equipment itself, so the water used by the equipment should be treated in the early stage. It can also be seen here that no matter how powerful the function and use of the water knife is, it cannot be separated from the more or less restriction of water quality.

The pre-treatment of water jet cutting machine includes water filtration and water softening

1. The main purpose of water filtration is to eliminate the micro impurities and suspended solids in water. Water filtration is usually realized by multi-stage series filter device. It is usually equipped with a three-layer supercharger, after which suspended solids will not enter the water. The back stage of the filter usually needs to be equipped with a differential pressure gauge. When the outlet water pressure is insufficient due to the blockage of the filter element, the system will automatically stop and give an alarm to remind the operator that the filter element should be replaced in time to ensure the safety of the system.

2. The methods of softening water are boiling, ion exchange, reverse osmosis and so on. Taking rh-1000 softener as an example, the basic principle and application of lower softening hydration are introduced.

(1) System function: the system uses filter, active carbon filter and security filter series filter group, such a combination of equipment can not only remove the residual chlorine and suspended solids in water, but also improve the service life of resin effectively. The resin used in water softener can effectively remove calcium and magnesium ions in water, so as to achieve the effect of softening water. And the water softener has the function of automatic regeneration.

(2) Water quality test: in order to understand the water quality, the suspended solids, hardness and pH value of water can be tested by water quality testing agent. This is key to the softening of water quality.

According to the test, the deionized water nozzle is used in the same life. But it must be noted that excessive removal of impurities in the water will make the water more corrosive, because the elements in the materials in contact with the water will try to replace the elements removed from the water, so the mixed bed dissociation system is used to over treat the water quality, which is harmful to the use of the equipment.
